How We Help

The first graphic [below] (Labelled: Cognitive Distortions) highlights the typical 'Cognitive Distortions' that clients present with when experiencing Anxiety and Depression. These graphics have been taken from Positive Psychology (Website). Your Counsellor is trained and qualified to discover which of these pertains to your individual circumstances and how to treat it.

The second graphic [below] (Labelled: 9 Essential CBT Tools) highlights Nine (9) typical Cognitive Behavioural Therapy tools that your Counsellor will use to support you. Your Counsellor will explain in detail how and why the tools selected for your case works for your individual circumstances.

Lastly it is very important to note that you are always in control. If you feel uncomfortable with a particular exercise, your Counsellor will work with you to modify or choose a different approach. You will always maintain your autonomy.
